A Magical Musical Tour of Burgundy
In May 2008, the Ramat-Gan Chamber Choir gave a series of performances in the beautiful wine country of Burgundy, France. We performed to full houses in the local churches, while also enjoying evenings of informal singing with our host choir. Our concerts included excerpts from classical masterpieces, such as the Brahms German Requiem and Handel’s Messiah, Israeli music, and songs from American musicals.
From the warmth of Willi and Annette, our hosts at Le Pinacle to the hospitality of the local choir (Vocal de Buxy), the choir enjoyed a week of music, fine food and wine, and tours of the beautiful countryside.
All the performances were greeted with standing ovations, and requests to return for another tour in the very near future.
